Samoa 'ioe Foundation

The Samoa 'ioe Foundation ('ioe means "yes" and pronounced ee-o-eh) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to the support of educational, athletic, arts and health initiatives for American Samoa, Independent State of Samoa and Samoans living in the United States.

The Foundation was established by board of directors and Samoan’s Jesse Sapolu (former San Francisco 49'ers' Offensive Lineman), Jack Thompson (former NFL Quarterback), and the Honorable Mufi Hannemann (Mayor of Honolulu, Hawai'i).

An advisory committee called the Friends of Samoa has been organized to support the mission of the Foundation. It is chaired by Southern Methodist University Head Football Coach June Jones.
